Default camera practice

a few of my friends and i are video taping our hunts. we double hung about 9 different sets. the first morning im hunting and he is taping then we switch for that night. to get some practice taping i went to this old wooden stand i had built a few years back and we sat in it for about 15 min. then i was playing around with a fawn in distress call just to see what would show up (coyotes) before i could even end my call session i had a doe storm in and circle my tree multiple times. she ended up walking off. we sat there for another 10 min. and 6 more doe came in, walked around and left. so we got the practice we needed to say the least. has this happened to anyone else? and i wonder if it will work in the season (october) i did this about a month ago
