Farm got a bob-tailed DOE!
#1
I was standing in a thicket between a couple poplar trees. First there were three gobblers. Then there were 4 does in front of me feeding in my food plot. Across the field I spotted 2 larger does. One had a bob-tail!
I waited and waited. My shot was with her quartering toward me just a bit and her head was down to feed.
After the shot she ran to the other side of the field and just stood there. The 4 does in front of me stayed put!!
This caused me to believe I missed, but I knew I heard the arrow hit.
I finally had to bark like a dog to get them to leave. I found my arrow stuck ina log covered with blood.
An hour later I started tracking and finally found my big doe with the bob-tail!
Upon inspection her tail did not seem to be cut or broken. Just grown short; about 3-4 inches.
She was hit slightly high (where I aimed) behind her left shoulder and it came out low on the right side. Double lunger.

Very cool farm, unique deer and a neat one to take. It's something else to make a doe special. I had one, one year, the tail was white when down. Looked like a mulie doe....I saw her twice and that's it.
