    I use velcro try to put it on before I go to stand it is too loud taking it off and putting it back on and adjusting. I was thinking about switching to buckle in the near future.

    My first release was a velcro tru-ball. After the first season with the noisy velcro, I found some old belts and made my own buckle for it which I still use. My wife bought me a new release for Christmas which was the same as I had -- except the new one had a buckle. No more velcro here.

    Why anyone would use velcro is beyond me ...... BUCKLE UP!

    I used velcro for 18 yrs and just switched to a truball copperhead w/ buckle. Velcro always gets caught on something, always.

    Sorry to hear. Although I do not use mechanical release, I have always tried to stay away from velcro on my hunting garments. JMHO.
