Default First bow hunt.... no luck at all.

Well, my first hunt came and went with no success. Saturday and Sunday morning, I was on the stand almost a full hour before first light. Both mornings, I had deer walking by me in the dark, but by first light, there was no activity at all. I did have a coyote that came through a few times. I also had a hawk land on a dead branch five yards from my head. That was pretty awesome. He kept looking at me trying to figure out what I was. I guess the ASAT 3D suit works pretty well.
I did find out one thing though.... the chiggers are alive and well in Missouri. I'm pretty miserable, but I guess it's the price you pay for hunting the early season.[:@]

Aw, c'mon TX, you know what I meant. No luck with the deer. I did have a great time. Hawks are supposed to have awesome eyesight, and this poor thing kept cocking it's head one way and then another. It was obvious hehad no idea what I was. I finally had to blink, and that was enough to convince him to vacate the area. That was incredible.

Thats pretty awesome to have a bird of prey that close to you even if you didn't get a shot at any deer at all , that experence alone had to leave you some what awestruck.

I can't help with the hunting BUT I can with the chiggers.

As soon as you get home take a nice hot bathadd 1/2 bottle of RID (head lice medicine) in the bath tub water first.

Result= no itch.

Good luck
