Default hog hunting

please dont move this. the hog section never answers or it takes for ever.

what do yall think about me and my dad going bowhunting for wild boar. i will have my bow and he will have a semi-automatic rimfire 22. that holds ten and shoots very fast with hollow points. my bow is set at about 62#'s - 63#'s and it will be going up. i use fixed blades.

Leave the .22 out of the mix. Hunt with your bow and have your dad tote the 7mm.

If you have to have the gun, do this. The .22 will just make him mad. When I lived in Florida we just went out with the bow.

Just a bow is all you need. I bowhunt hogs frequently...never thought about the need for a firearm.

I agree with Red Boar. I hog hunt year round with a bow and I never bring a backup weapon. Well except for my skinning knife!
