Why would this be moved? This is a bowhunting forum, not a specific animal forum. Personally, when I find a place to hunt some hogs, I plan on taking the bow. I will probably have the Glock 23 on my side though, just in case.

If you carry a pistol, stay with a 10mm as a minimum

No need for a gun. Put the arrow where it needs to go and forget the gun. You can't bowhunt with a gun.

Hunt with your bow , as a backup weapon , a 12 gauge with buckshot is an excellent choice , as you will probably have a running shot , if a backup is needed .

Forget about the firearm. In most states it's illegal to have during archery season anyway. I've shot a pile of hogs with a bow here in Florida, a lot of them from the ground and only had a couple even act aggressive. I did shoot onebetween the eyeswith an arrow at point blank range that a buddy had gut shot. The hog was in a thick palmetto patch and I probably should have given him some more time. Wild hogs that are pressured are one of the hardest animals to hunt that I know of. They will run from you, not towards you at the first hint of a man.

You really don't even need the bow, just a roll of strong duct tape.
