RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
huntinfool14,
I've had 2 dozen pre-fletched arrows from CX and have over 500 shots on arrows from both dozen and have yet to have a vane rip off. On the arrows with 300-500 shots there is a little black on the vanes but that is it. However, I don't hunt with these arrows because I found they are to noisy on the draw. RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
I used one long enough to get it tuned and shooting decent, just couldn't get it as good as I like. Most guys have modified them somewhat and they do work, just not everyone. Personally a problem is loading the arrow, bowstrings and sharp broadheads can cause a lot of grief. As far as an arrow coming off the rest, there's several arrow holders made that take care of that.

RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
I tried it and didn't care for it. It just didn't perform as well as the Super Bodoodle for me. I still can't get over the fact that it actually touches the shaft and vanes as it passes through. I'm glad you guys like it, I wish it had worked out for me.

RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
I have had mine on for a year now and its on to stay.I don't find the tinkering any more of a hassle then trying to get a good pass through on a prong style rest.I have tried a few things to see if I could make it affect arrow flight and it seems very consistant.I have one arrow that I clipped one vane from when I hit it.I shot that and it shot no different than any of my other arrows.Whether or not this is a biscuit issue is debatable.Every now and again a fletch will fly off but I lose more by piling them up in the target.I like it,its simple and reliable and inexpensive.Ron

RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
I don't understand all the comments about it being the perfect rest for hunting. Why is it so great for hunting but perhaps sub-par for target shooting? Is it the arrow falling off the rest routine? I haven't had that happen in 5 yrs. I'll agree, back in the day of straight nocks that just slipped on the string, occasionally I would have an arrow fall off. However, since these snap type nocks have been around I'm not sure its possible for an arrow to fall off my string. Heck, I can't hardly pull the thing off. I'm with davidmil on this one, I think the WB is a gimmick.

Still having trouble figuring out why people are calling a rest that is accurate, reliable, and simple a gimmick???
Belle Island, Big difference between an arrow falling off the rest and falling off the string. Any time I've knocked an arrow off the rest it's stayed on the string so the nock is a mute issue. "What we do in this life echos an eternity" |
RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
I agree CG, there is a difference, but is the arrow falling off the rest that big of a problem? For me it has never been. If you like the WB because it is accurate, quite, etc, fine thats great. But I can't stand to hear the argument that it is the best hunting rest because your arrow want fall off your rest. Mine never does anyway. If your a still hunter I understand its usefulness, but stand hunters having problems with arrows falling off their rest, thats ridculous.

RE: Your thoughts on Whisker Biscuits????
Can't argue....I've never hunted from a stand.....but I'll tell you it's invaluable if your belly crawling the last 20 yards to get a shot at a muley or antlelope or stuck behind a tree as a bull elk comes screaming in and you have to play the "this side or that" game with the elk (btw in this game your 1st guess is ALWAYS wrong :) ).

CG, the second guess is wrongs many times:)
In the situation you described, it seems the WB would be invaluable. To each his own, thats why they sell so many of the dang things. Hunt the thickets |
