Me and my dad have been using them for a long time now, and i have had no problems with it at all. as for it tearing up vanes ive never had any problem of that nature, maybe somethign was up with the way they was fletched? ive hunted with it in pouring rains and sometimes below freezing temps. and it shoots just as good as it would on a warm dry day. for hunting you can get no better of a rest, no buts about it, the only thing i could see a downside to would be if you was shootin aluminums there could be a noise factor but with carbons is ultra quiet.
There will always be those who wanna joke about it but i will challenge them to a shoot with mine any day of the week.
And david i like you man, but maybe the so called "pros" dont know as much as they think they do. I can understand the less contact and the more clearance is gonna help. but in a hunting situation, accuracy is of the utmost importance dont get me wrong but it doesnt matter if you hit the 10 ring or the 10x ring hes still goin down if you can put it in the vitals. and as for the MZE i myself think its the gimmick it has WAY to many moving parts for me, looks like a lot could go wrong in a hunting situation with that thing. MAybe im dumb but the less parts i got on my bow the less things that can go wrong when a i gotta big buck coming towards me. and like you said its just opinions none of us need to get all riled up over a peice of metal with some whiskers on it, we are here to help each other not prove each other wrong.

Seems to be a few ignorant , or uneducated if that sounds better , opinions of the whisker biscuit.
huntinfool14 , sounds like you have a whole lot more issues than the whisker biscuit. If you had to refletch arrows after 20 shots , ya better give up arrow fletching or find someone else to do it.
krisken , the biscuit works great out of the package. Need help setting yours up and tuning your bow? I'd be glad to help and if you still think it's junk when I'm done I'll buy your whisker biscuit from you because we cant keep them on the shelves around here.
David , the idea of fletching contact does differ from everything we were trying to avoid for years , but give the rest a fair test and then come back and give your honest opinion.
Last year I had a 285 average on the 3d course with my hunting bow w/NAP drop away rest. I had a 285 average with my hunting bow w/whisker biscuit rest. Needless to say I took the drop away off and left the biscuit on. You cant beat it for hunting! My buddy flubbed a shot opportunity on a huge doe last year when he grabbed his bow and his arrow fell off after hitting a branch. This year he's using the biscuit! Why? Because it's like that infomercial , set it and FORGET IT!

Davidmil makes some good points. I believe that if you could put a Muzzy zero effect on a bow, shoot several groups at long range from a shooting machine, and then repeat with the WB, the Zero effect would probably have the tighter groups. That said for all practical purposes I can't tell the differnce in accuracy between the two. I really like the Muzzy zero effect, but considering I had two seperate arrow rest problems this year, one with the Zero effect and one with a bodoodle. I decided I wanted the most simple trouble free rest I could find that would still give me good accuracy. The WB is NOT perfect, and it's not for everyone. Lord knows I still have a hard time with the Total contact concept, I am just younger and more handsome than Davidmil<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> so it is easier for me to adapt. LOL

BOWFANATIC,
The arrows started being pre-fletched by Carbon Express. Ripped right off. Then by Pro Shop A. Ripped right off. Then I took them to pro shop B, ripped right off.

You could try a few things to fix that instead of giving up on the rest.
1. Drop of glue on the tip of your vanes
2. You may have major tuning issues
3. Go to plan C for refletching<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Stock vanes that are on arrows when you purchase them are always the first to go. If you have your arrows fletched by a good proshop and put a dab of glue on the tips , you shouldn't have any problems. If you do still have problems I would say you have tuning issues and or spine issues.
