I don't have a Lone Wolf climber, but I do have a Lone Wolf hang on (Alpha Assault) and love it. Very light weight (8.5 lbs), compact for carrying, very quiet and very sturdy. All one piece aluminum platform doesn't squeak or creak and because it's not hollow, it doesn't clang, either. Also, they use an irregular "camo" pattern on the platform, so no long straight lines (although paint will take care of that with other stands). The seat sure isn't a lounger, but that's ok with me. It doesn't make my butt fall asleep!

I use their climbing sticks, too. Very light weight (10 lbs for 4 sticks to get up 15'+), very flexible with regard to how you can place them on a tree. I would get their full size sticks, not their minis, though. I haven't had any problems with the length of their straps, but I don't set up stands in sequoias...[8D]

I'm a fan of LW. Alpha fixed position, 7 sticks, and my favorite climber, the sit and climb. Best stands I've used in over 20 years of bowhunting.

early in - I really like your seat modification.

I'm gonna' copy it a little if ya' don't mind!

Sounds like these guys have got it covered...they are awesome stands. Quiet, portable, and easy to set up

thanks...for the info guys...i'm not too big of a guy... only in the midsection, but i'm just not comfortable using a handclimber anymore...i find it annoying...thats why i'm considering and sit and climb. lone wolf looks like one of the few stands that folds flat and the seat flips up for when u want to take a shot. I get very nervous being in a treestand even with a harness on but i hunt anyway and i want to feel secure.
