freaking larry bird

Recently I made a post asking about stand position and where to hunt on. The land next to the land I have access to was just auctioned off and I just found out who bought it today. Larry F-ing Bird! To disclaimer my distaste... this land was in my girlfriends family forever until a coal company forced them to sell it to them. After 5 years or so they decide to auction it off and her family was going to try to buy it back until Mr. Bird decides to buy it. God only knows what he is going to do with the land. (probably try and put up a casino like French Lick (jk)) First he destroys my pacers and now he is going to destroy my hunting land!

It just kills me that he would come in and buy up a bunch of farmland that local farmers (not just my girlfriend's family) were trying to get. Its not like you can outbid someone with his financial backing. I liked Larry until he
a) played for my least favorite sports city (Boston)
b) ran the pacers into the ground
c) possibly ruined one of my better looking hunting areas

Or at the very least you can hunt the edge of the property and pick off some of his bucks.
Either way, best of luck.

But you see, Larry Bird is an Indiana farm boy too. Are you saying people shouldn't be allowed to buy back into their roots. And as far as the coal mine company forcing your girls parents to sell???? You mean they made them an offer and they took it.

Here is the big kicker I found out. The guy he bought all this land with (I think his last name is Gibson) owns a lot of the big trash dumps. I sure hope that isn't their intention. As far as them being forced to sell their land... it was 20-30 years ago and they were forced to sell the land. The coal company pretty much ran everything and owned everyone important. We all know that those who make all the money also make all the rules.
