The deer are used to the smell, no need to worry unless you're ripe! One of my stand spots is on a trail that the deer use to cross on the other side of a chain link dog kennel... and I mean right on the other side of it. From there I can see into my kitchen window, makes it tough to stay out there when I see the old lady in her PJs...
