You should RESPECT that deer and not shoot! What if you got off work at 3pm but could sneak out at 230pm? Would you do it and take the chance on getting fired? Do the right thing here and get him the proper way!!

If you read carefully I said sunrise at 6:59 - 0:30 = 6:29 legal shooting time
6:20am is 9 minutes before legal shooting time

ORIGINAL: GR8atta2d

6:20 is 39 minutes before 6:59..and thats way early!

I know it's a typo..but you wrote it

And oddly enough I agree with GMMAT ! [:-]

I'll be honest, I'd shoot him and I think the majority of hunters would do the same thing if put in that situation, even though they may not want to admit it

If i know i have a good shot and can see clear enough to make a killing shot, its a dead deer.

I use a Cobra Sidewinder sight and the green pin doesn't start to glow until about 10 min after legal shooting time, the woods are dark and thick where I'm at so it's a no-brainer I can't shoot until I can see my pin. On the other hand legal is legal ,anything illegal is unethical, yet not all legal thingsa are ethical. Does that sound right?

9 minutes??? no prob, i'll set my watch ahead a few...

i'm with gmmat, if I have enough light to make a clean ethical shot, that bucks comin home with me...

edit - if its not a trophy worthy deer though, na, i'd let it walk... if its gonna score well though, like about 120 or higher, i'm takin it

With Gammat also, usually I would be watching the buck instead of looking at my watch. If the shot was safe and I felt good about it, DEAD DEER!

i would have to agree with GMMAT. If i have sufficient light and im sure of my shot and i know its going to be a clean kill. hes down.
