WOW! I have had the ****tiest luck getting ready for this season, anything I have bought hasn't been right, and any work i have had done on my bow has had some kind of mishap with what they worked on
So I ordered some of the gold tip insert weights so I could use the rage broadheads this year. They come today and are the WRONG f'in style.
The ones I ordered show a threaded end (similar to a broadhead) that should screw into the insert...the ones I get are hollowed with threads and don't have any way to screw into the insert. I just said screw it and am going to try gluing it in to the shaft and on to the insert. Saturday is the opener, and I guess if that doesn't work. It will be fixed blades for me this year.
Also, the tool explained to me was a long screwdriver, what I got was a long allen wrench. Is that right?

Well, I went out today and shot both the practice blade, and one shot with the actual rage broadhead...nailed the same spot as the target tips. In a heavy crosswind
SO just to vent one last time...these have been my experiences this year.
First, I am going to get new string and cable, and some arrows.
So I go to the first place to get my Gold Tips...first, the guy talked me into a 5575..came on here, found out I am way underspined..took them back, replaced them with 7595. Get home, take them out of the package and boom..the nocks have been glued in. So, third trip I come home with the right arrows.
Next I go in and order some vapor trail strings and cables...they say, no later than 7 days and they will be in. 2 1/2 weeks go by and they finally call. Then the guy at the shop decides to take apart my drop away and "fix" it...I go out practicing, and as I pull back, my drop away..drops...damn thing came apart. So I went back to a whisker biskit.
Another thing that happened...I was going to let a co-worker use my old PSE..so I go to buy the piece that holds the cable in place. I tell the guy it doesn't look right, but oh, it was by him. Get home and yep, should have known better. Then I let the guy take the bow, he was going to come over and we were going to get it all tuned up and I noticed that both limbs had cracked. SWEET DEAL
haha....and now that guy went missing from work, come to find out he was thrown in jail. That may have been for the better, I don't know what he was into. But obviously it wasn't good, so now I am tryin to find a spot in ND which is next to impossible with all the posted land and land owners that don't want guys to hunt their land.
Sorry.....I am done bitching now

And to think, I thought Ihad it rough just trying to find time to hunt on top of school, family/girlfriend, hockey, supplimental instructor postion, regular work study position and a 2.5 hr trip just to get back home. Not to mention the cost ofmany ofthose said activities. Oh I forgot that darn Tuition thing and the fact that I've got a trip to Greece to pay for. I wish I had the time and money to be able to have problems with getting ready for bowseason!

In all seriousness, I will probably never have a chance at going on a trip like this again and doing all that's on the schedule for us, so I really don't have a problem paying the $3,500 (which is outstanding for the places we're seeing and places we're going). But it is $3,500 that I could really use for alternative things.

That was my fault but it still took a while to get a new cable and string put back on it.
