Keith Warren

Does this guy hunt anywhere except on preserves behind fences. I checked out the outfitter he hunted with in Ohio today. Redman Whitetail Preserve. The term "Preserve" lets you know he's in a fence. If you want to shoot a 200 inch buck you can do it here.... as long as you pay the $18,000 trophy fee for the 3 day hunt. You got to be kidding me. Are people that hard up to shoot a big deer. They showed this one party of 4 or 5 that were there when he was. They all shot the biggest deer of their life by the second day. Sounds tough to me, 2 days to get the buck of a lifetime.[&:][:'(] On their website they showed pictures of horns for pricing. They show a father son picture.. a 190 and a 200 incher. $14,500 for the 190 and $18,000 for the 200. So it cost dad $32,500 for a 3 day hunt with his son. Althought, that did include meals.LOL

Haha I just watched the very same show!! Yeah more power to em' if they wanna pay that much for a trophy!

davidmil 09-09-2007 09:58 AM

RE: Keith Warren

BUT, daddy didn't have to buy a license. It's a preserve and they tell you NO License needed. LOL Whew, I bet dad was glad he could save that $280. That had to take a bite out of the $32,500 trophy fees.[8D]

How can you complain about him, when Hank Parker was up next? Both of those shows are terrible. Wasn't Roger Raglins show just before them? What do they call that "The Crappy Hour"????

I would guess not... unless you mean the tip you got in the butt. Maybe they don't expect a tip. LOL They say they have some stands and blinds but advise people to bring their own. LOL

I saw one of his 'viewer email' segments where a guy wrote in complaining about preserves and highly managed ranches, and he (KW) riduculed the guy for thinking that public land hunting could ever be good, and thatthe "future" of hunting were all these operations that he goes to.

Right on.I think most hunting on tv anymore is gettin ridiculous.I mean a years paycheck for a deer?I am still an old traditions hunter out there to put meat in the freezer.Hunting is for THE CHALLENGE and love for the outdoors!Anymore it is made out to be "An Industry" which I think is total BS , just because theyve got the money to do it.Those guys dont even get excited to see big game anymore.

These shows are a joke. These guys actually, must think they are "good" hunters. I am going to try to email that show and tell them they are a joke. Who were the sponsors of the show? I will email them and let them know they need to sponsor a show that deals with real hunting.

Seperates the hunters from those with cash to burn.
I called a guide once about a Texas hunt. He told me $3,500.00... I laughed and hung up. :D

Bowhunter2001 09-09-2007 12:15 PM

RE: Keith Warren

I just emailed the show and told him he was a joke for putting this on tv and that I was going to email his sponsors and let them know about the show they are sponsoring. This "killing" type show is not good for our cause. Others should email. They won't put my email on the air!

Paddles 09-09-2007 12:17 PM

RE: Keith Warren

I think most hunting shows are a crock because the outfitter hangs the stands or tells them where to hang them. Then the last day they will be put in the honey hole stand to kill that last minute buck. If you book a hunt with the outfitter do you think you will be hunting the same stands i don't think so.

Hey all it takes to fill a trophy room anymore is money... Check out ol Roger Raglins trophy room... That out of shape washed up hunter couldn't kill a deer unless somebody tied it to a tree for him... I'll bet him and Jimmy houston hunt the same game farms

Haha, did you guys see the one where he hunted in PA? He hunted in my home town at Griffiths deer farm. What a joke. What really got me about that episode was that he kept mentioning antler restrictions and how they're really paying off in PA. I belive his one quote was "you cant tell me there arent huge bucks in PA". He's right up thereon my long list of shows not to watch anymore.

I will say this, not all outfitters are the same. I spent 9 days at one and the hunters had to work. The guides may have known the general area that the deer were but the hunter had to make it work. Where I was there were 1000's of acres of farm lands and most of it was planted in conola. A deer could hide in it easily, most of it was waist high.

I hate to admitt it but the future of hunting is revolving more and more around money and the big money being made from all aspects of hunting. It makes me sick to see how all these hunting shows are brain washing everyone into their way of hunting,it is just not realistic for the average hunter to hunt the way it is portraded on t.v. so much emphases s being placed on antler size and none on the hunt or animal itself. Now I have to defend myself from hunters and non-hunters alike if I kill a deer that is not a mature trophy, what a crock of sh$t.We all need to hunt and kill what makes us happy as long as it is within the laws of the area we each hunt and start feeling good about ourseves even if we kill a doe or small buck and not have to explain it to anyone who has a different opion.

I know for a fact of another place Keith Warren hunts that is High Fenced. The place is Called Griffith Brothers Whitetail Ridge in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He has hunter there twice. One time he even went into this rant about if you don't believe PA can't grow big bucks then look at what he just shot at Griffith Brothers whitetail ridge. I know this place is high fenced because I used to do graphic design work for the owners. In fact this place is where the Deer Golliath was born. Keith Warren is such a fake, Thes guys really make me sick.

I knew it too Rob, I went to the site to see what they said and just to see what people pay for such crap. I knew it the minute the first shooter passed on a monster and said it wasn't what he was looking for.... then they shot a 7 pointer out of this shooting house. I think it was decorated by Martha. LOL Germ, we watch it because we can. :)

I've been saying the same thing ever since they came up with the catchy QDM and for the Health of the Herd and all that Tecomate crap. They're ruining hunting as a sport. It's now feed lots and shooting houses and high fences. The problem is, the big money is pushing and pushing. In another couple years the states that have enacted horn size regulations will start to see the big bucks from out of state take over and they'll wonder what happened. All the cutsey little TV gals will invade their lands and lease it out from under them. I say hunting was better off as a sport when the TV stations wouldn't let them on. At least the average Joe enjoyed the game and wasn't chastised for killing a nice little 6 point on one of the 4 days a year he got to hunt in a year.

And why do we watch??? Well I think it's our duty. I can bring it here and we can discuss it and someone will show them the link and maybe some idiot producer will get back to hunting and out of the comedy/fashion show business.

Many of us watch because we remember what the Drury boys were like before they started producing soap operas and beginning hunting 101. We remember when Roger Raglin did it the right way. We remember when Knight and Hale didn't feel the need to come up with a new call or Steady Eddie or whatever every year. The last 2 years of hunting shows have really taken a turn for the worse. If they continue I think they're done. Even all the newbies who want to be the next TV stars are falling into the same traps..... comedy, frills, towers, QDM etc and of course a cutie. We watch because we can... but we're watching it less. We've stopped setting TIVO to record because it no longer matters if we miss it. We watch because we've stopped buying their videos. I remember running to the stores as recently as a few short years ago to buy that years installment. I haven't bought a video in a while. I gave 150 to a nephew last year.THere were some real hunting videos in them. Now it's show time, soap operas, comedy and a cutie We watch because I think they're setting themselves up to be dropped from grace by the hunters of the world and we'll enter another period of no hunting shows. They really are getting ridiculous now.

Great Plan..:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Not at all. It only indicates that I have seen enough and am fed up--after all, you can't make a judgement without experience. Emailing, calling, or any other from of complaint, in and of itself, gives zero indication of how many times one has viewed or will viewa program.Doing nothing sends a message of endorsement by default. How would I or anyone else have a clue if we never saw it???? How you conclude that it sends a message that I , or anyone elseisstill watching is a mystery to me. Regardless of your failure tograsp the effect of what action I took, I don't think that there will be any such confusion by the producers orMr Warrenwhen he or theyread my, or anyone elsescomplaints.

I don't think their done, because you keep watching them[&:]

Funny I like the Drury shows, but I have not watch 30 seconds of Dream Season. I made it 30 seconds before I shut it off. Sorry I will never understand watching a show and then whining about it day later. Only to repeat the same thing next week[&:]

I guess I have better things to do;)

I do that with the Presidential debates (discuss for weeks). They turn my stomach.....but I reserve the right to voice my disgust with them at every turn if I so choose. I learn more about what NOT to like about a candidate by doing so (viewing). I see the hunting shows, for the most part, in a similar light.
