depends on...
- do they make them in the shop or order
- is it ordered from a high demand place (winners choice)
- how many techs does the shop have

When I worked on bows in a shop, from early August through early October the "repair" rack always had at least 20 bows on it. If the tech doing the bow work is also the guy servicign customers, then it takes even longer.

If you brought it into our shop today, depending on whether we had your strings and cables in stock.......If in stock, about a week....If we had to order them.....close to 3. This is not the time of year to be needing major work done on your bow. It's crunch time, and we're super busy. When I left today, we had some 20 bows needing work.

I'll never know why folks wait till 7 days before season opens to check out their equipment, only to find it busted. Then, they walk in the door and expect us to drop everything and fix it RIGHT NOW......I mean, season opens in a week after all......
I never understand this either. Wait until the last minute, then get pissed off that it takes a bit to get it done. I do a good amount of fletching for the shop I shoot at, and the same thing happens. The arrows haven't come out of the case since last season, and then hand me a bloody arrow to refletch because you need the arrow tomorrow for the opener. Plan ahead people!!! There are about 9 months of the year when none of these things are a problem, just like Christmas shopping!
