cuz it is you vs. not only the deer, but nature and the elements. not to mention you vs. your self, trying to calm down right before the shot and having that adrenaline flowing. its the ultimate test for me and that is why i love the great outdoors and hunting in particular.

Hunting for me is a good excuse to spend time in the woods. I grew up camping and backpacking. Didn't hunt till I was 20. I've always been in love with the woods and the adventure in them. Hunting gets me out in the woods; I guess I just need a reason to get out of bed and go to the woods. Hunting provides that for me. It's not just the thrill of the hunt, but all the amazing things you see while searching for your game of choice.

relaxing,meat,horns(bonus),being with family, and last the thrill of outwitting the deer.

Personally I don't care how much money it cost. it is well worth the time away from the wife.
Spending time in the woods alone with nothing but yourself and nature is a good way to clear your head of the every day grind.
