Found one dead yesterday.

My business partner and I ran out to the lease on our lunch yesterday, just to kill some time and to get out of the shop for a while. We found this guy off of one of the access roads that runs through the property. It looks as though he had been there for at least a month. The rodents have done a pretty good job on his tines, and the coyotes had pretty much taken care of everything else. Judging by his lower jaw, and the aging chart from S.I.U., it looks like he was probably 4 1/2 yrs. old. The extremly dry and hot conditions have certainly taken there toll. I would have like to see him with another year or two of growth.

I agree with you guys, it is a shame, but I will do something with it. It will either be a Euro mount or I'll just mount the rack on a plaque. I'll post pics when it's done.

That's a shame....My buddy was out riding around glassing some bucks the other evening and seen a nice buck laying in the middle of a field about 200 - 300 yds out from the road. He stopped the truck to get a better look and noticed a red spot on the bucks back. When he started walking over to the buck it started draging it's back legs trying to get away. Someone had shot the deer with a rifle from to road while they were driving by. He called the game warden and left the buck there. Don't know if the warden went out to put it out of it's misery. It was a nice 8-pt still in full velvet probably in the 120-130 class.
Damn Poachers!!!! That really pi$$es me off![:@][:@][>:]

People have been finding deer dead from Blue Tongue where I hunt. We have found three on the property and I believe 40 have been found on the local WMA. I read that it mostly affects young bucks and they try to make it to water. We found all three around creeks on the property.
