That's a shame....My buddy was out riding around glassing some bucks the other evening and seen a nice buck laying in the middle of a field about 200 - 300 yds out from the road. He stopped the truck to get a better look and noticed a red spot on the bucks back. When he started walking over to the buck it started draging it's back legs trying to get away. Someone had shot the deer with a rifle from to road while they were driving by. He called the game warden and left the buck there. Don't know if the warden went out to put it out of it's misery. It was a nice 8-pt still in full velvet probably in the 120-130 class.

Damn Poachers!!!! That really pi$$es me off![:@][:@][>:]
I hear you on the poachers. Believe me, we have plenty of road poachers around us too. The one good thing is that one of our local Conservation Officers cought two of the biggest offenders in the act last year. Hefty fines, forfeiture of assets, and jail time for one hopefully taught them a lesson.

It's definitely a shame to see a guy like that just dead and rotting. But those european mounts sure are nice

It definitely stinks that he died, but there are others. I am going to spend some time glassing this weekend. Hopefully I'll see something that will raise my spirits.

Too bad he didn't make it, but I'm sure it's nice to know that you've got bucks of that caliber on your land.

That's too bad, he looks like he could have been a heck of a buck.
