Take it from someone who knows, a steel backstop is better than an arrow stuck in the wall and trying to explain that. I used to from my living room through the very narrow hall to a bedroom at night when my wife went to work. Shot tons of arrows and then one day, bam! Stuck one right in the wall for what ever reason. Kind of embarrasing, but it happens.
LOL!!!!!!!![8D]

What was the excuse fer that one!!??[8D][&:][][8D]

I can shoot 15 yards in basement.....and yes its fully finshed. I stood up a 4X8 sheet of 3/4" plywood up and then have a large foam block (its about 3' high and 2' wide. My kids shoot all the time......one 7 and one 9 years old and they've shot down there for a couple years. Its good practice, conditioning, and fabulous for tuning.

Good Luck!

I got chewed on pretty good, she didnt know I was shooting my bow in house until that. But I kept doing it for awhile after that and she was OK with it. Hey, if there is no where else to shoot then so be it. Luckily now I have a shop I can shoot in at night.

I have a few 4'X4'X3/4" sheets of plyboardspaced 2-3 inches appart as a back stop "for those just in case shots" against my back wall in my basement with my Block 4X4 target, & I also have my Guide Series Vital shooter bag that I hang up for Blind Bale shots.

My basement is only 8 yards "where I can shoot at that is" but I also can open the door & get up to 15 yards if I step out to my drive way.

With me going to work at 05:00 & get off at 14:00-16:00 & get my 2 lil ones till Moma gets home around 19:30ish doesn't leave me a lot of time during the week to practice outside "especially when my youngest is now 6 months" but the weekends I try to at least get a few hours in of aimed distance shots either at the club or in my back yard "where my max is 40 yards in my yard."
