Didn't Lee hunt 58 days straight or something like that before killing a buck one year? Man, he must suck at hunting to not be able to get one of those dumb private land deer.[&:]
I've hunted both private and public land a lot, and what I will say is that on public land deer get wiser sooner, but anyone hunting mature (3.5+) deer on any land knows that those deer learn and get wary. I'm not talking about private ranch outfitters, but a farm or other property that someone has gotten permission to hunt and manage. Anyone who says otherwise either doesn't know anything about older deer or is just jealous of those that do.

Yea I'm jealous... I just call em like I see um!!! They may put a lot of hard work into raising deer... Farms do a lot of hard work to raise there cattle
A 6 year old could kill there deer... Watch the Wild Outddoors... There LITTLE 6 year old son will prob be in the record books this fall
He's on his way aint he...
I said it once I'll say it a 1000 times... I've hunted 18 month old does that are more of a challenge than those Iowa,Kansas,Illinos farm raised deer!!!!

I think a few peope on here need to get a life (Longbeard)! This maybe one of the most ridiculous threads I've ever read.
I've been to their land in Iowa and if any of you knew how many hours and how much work the 2 of them have done each yearto get their property set up for hunting a lot of you would be singing a different tune.
It's a great place to hunt for one reason--HARD WORK.
I guess jealousy rears his ugly head.

I'd bet the numbers are staggering.

In all fairness......I wonder how many P&Y bucks Lee passed on in those 58 days. # of encounters with a P&Y buck.
I'd bet the numbers are staggering.

I didn't say he should have taken the deer (or any of them). I asked how many P&Y bucks he passed on in his hard 58 days of hunting.
How many times could he have filled his tag with a P&Y buck? That's all.

Envy is one of the seven deadly sins and causes a lot of social harm (even if I didn't earn it, if given
the opportunity I would take it from those who did - the John Edwards' playbook or the main catalyst
for all the disastrous collectivist/totalitarian movements of the 20th century), but you don't
hear people talking bad about it or preacher's preaching about it much these days. Off soapbox.
