hey how are all of yall . I would like to know if anyone here has tried to make a single cam bow out of a old dual cam bow ?

doing just fine thank you. You will proably be better off just getting another bow already set up for that.

have enough trouble keeping factory bow together--Don't think i could handle a bow of many flavors!!!

I just had the idea of try'n it some rainy day just to see if I could put something together to say hey yall look at this it's my own custom redneck bow.

Trying to do what you are wanting to do would be, well, just plain pointless. By the time you buy the came of your choice, find the right string and cable lengths, find the right strings and cables, and then find someone that will put up with you to do it

I know a guy who makes custom bows. He moved to Kingman, Az. from Phoenix a couple of years ago. He made single cam bows out of several dual cam bows in past. However, I am sure he would tell you that you need a good deal of expertise and technical knowledge to make them perform and shoot good. There is a lot involved in string length, cable length, timing, etc.. Even with his years of experience, I don't think he ever got one to perform as well as the real McCoy. I would stick to the real deal, one way or the other.
