I know a guy who makes custom bows. He moved to Kingman, Az. from Phoenix a couple of years ago. He made single cam bows out of several dual cam bows in past. However, I am sure he would tell you that you need a good deal of expertise and technical knowledge to make them perform and shoot good. There is a lot involved in string length, cable length, timing, etc.. Even with his years of experience, I don't think he ever got one to perform as well as the real McCoy. I would stick to the real deal, one way or the other.
