Not only are they making money selling hunts and videos of the huntsbut there is a lot of money being made selling straws of sperm. If you think they make a lot on the hunts that is pennies compared to what they make for the sperm. We have a deer farm around here that my buddy does the taxidermy for and some of the straws of sperm go for $8,000 and up. They pump these deer like cows, freeze the sperm, and market it. Easy cash if you have the genetics. On top of that, each buck gets his own 10-20 does to breed. Lots of money to be made, millions in fact!!!

If you have 200"+ deer, you're looking at atleast $25,000+ per. It's a very big market in Texas. I see probably fifty high fence ranches on the 6 hour drive from my house to my property. |

I don't know if Texas are to blame for world issues, but I will tell you this: if $hit ever hit the fan, everyone would be running to Texas for help because we got it all- self sustaining.

You dont watch much outdoor channel huh:DThose deer are breed for guys like ROGER RAGLIN!!!!!!, Jimmy Huston, Hank Parker... The list goes on... Pretty much any body that is loaded and wants to have some bragging rights;) Look at Samsons Ridge Outfitters... All there deer look like they came off a breeding farm... Hell they might be a breeding farm and once the deer get past there prime they charge some Dumb !@# $10,000 bucks to come shoot it
 This is what deerr huntin has become...Everybody wants to kill a bigger deer that his buddy... So I'll pay for it... Look at ol Troy Gentry... Ready to ruin his carrier over having his name in the record books... Just goes to show you how a big trophy animal will make people think;) Anybody want to start another ethics topic;) |
