I'm glad to see our military veterans and current military defending their right to buy the vehicle of their choice.


Germ, I'd bet my Titan has more American parts or labor and more money put back into the pockets of my fellow Americans than your Dakota, especially since you bought it used, you did nothing for the good ole USA. Had you bought it new, perhaps but the original owner supported the US but once purchased it's well, used. A used Dodge, Ford, Chevy on a Toyota lot is supporting who?

Bowtech's hats are made in China yet they brag about the bows made in the USA, The Patriot, half of what most of us own are produced, assembled, etc etc. somewhere else. You virtually cannot buy American anymore thanks to your government. Like I said, I'm content knowing my Titan put money in Americans pockets. Some of you Ford, Chevy, Dodge owners might want to do a little research before spouting off too much, especially when buying used. Choices are made, Condemning your fellow man/sportsmen for making a purchase you don't agree with seems a little hipocrytical.

I aint makin' no friends by saying this but you fail to realize one thing. There's cause and effect in everything. People don't just start buying import then continue beingloyal to them just because they've become more readily available. Rather, it is because what they have been buying in the past failed them time and again. Then they buy something new and it doesn't fail them as much. In your own words... "it's that simple."

Hey what were we originally talking about again? Oh yea, a truck for me.
Many of you have been listening to what my requirements were in a truck and made suggestions based on that. Thank you.

I'll reiterate since we've kinda lost track:

1) mid-sized

2) 4x4

3) v6

4) crew cab

5) 20 mpg hwy

And I need a manual tranny too. As you all have your own definition of a truck, one of my criteria is stick shift. You know, just like a sports car aint a sports car if it's automatic?

I dont know if it would work for you but. MY truck is a 99' Sonoma ZR-2 4x4. I get 25 MPG hwy and 21 in the city. It alread has 110 thousand on it and hopes she goes for that many more.

Guys, whenI get to the deer woods I open my truck door, turn at a 45 degree angle and both boots hit the dirt at the same time. I look left then right, maybe even flex a pec. I drive a Ford and race a Chevy on Saturday nights. This is my choice. I tell you what though. You got a lot of balls telling someone what kind of vehicle they shoud buy when they are leaving their loved ones every morning and getting home at dark making their own money.

If citing patriotism about someone buying a foreign truck is stupid I guess the reverse would be true as well??

C'mon Rob........that's like taking comfort in knowing a kid made a nickel in a sweatshop sewing your Nike's. Low/Med wages, modest benefits and no pensions.......THAT is what you put in an American's pocket when you buy foreign vehicles.




If you really think buying a foreign vehicle that was assembled here helps as much or more then buying an American made and assembled vehicle then I suggest you take your own advice.


With you being born and raised in the heart of steel country it shocks me to think you have that perspective.

Show a little loyalty people. Pretty soon this country will be nothing but a population of service people..........depending on everyone else to supply us with what we need.

This country was founded on manufacturing and production.


We are better then that.............better then just a bunch of consumers.
