need TRUCK recommendation for bowhunting

Well actually, it's not strictly for bowhunting but it will be used for that too. What I need is a new or newer mid-sized 4wd truck that can take my family of 4 around town, me to the forest, deer back to the house, and a 2500lb pontoon to and from the river. I need a mid-sized truck because less than 20mpg hwy is unacceptable. It also has to be a V6 with manual transmission. I need to be able to fit 2 car seats for my 4yr old boyand 2month old baby girl. Price has to be under 30k.

Now sell me your truck.

And when you do, you have to convince me it's better than anything else on the market. I wont buy your truck simply because you're die-hard Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota, whatever. Tell me why it's better than the other guys. Give me horsepower or torque figures, give me price advantage, give me reliability margin over other trucks, quality construction, rigidity, give me resale value, etc. etc.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have to sell it to you, all you need to do is drive it once and you'll be sold. Nissan Titan.

A Dodge recommend a guy to go buy one when he wanted to trade is Dodge on a new one. A Ford dealer told me to not waste my time driving a Ford if I was going to test drive the Titan.

The only other recommendation I would make at this time is the new Tundra.

I'd bet that Titan has more American parts or more hours into assembly than most "American" trucks. You'd be surprised.

Wow...I thought I logged in to Kelleys Blue Book there for a minute!

I have a 2006 Tacoma, 6 speed, V6 and will just say this...if under 20mpg is unacceptable, then you won't be driving a mid-sized truck with a V6.

And real trucks don't have three foot beds....that Nissan belongs in a scrap heap.

Happy shopping.

I have got a Ford F250 V10 Super duty. I dont think it gets the MPG you want but will pull anything with enthusiasm. Dont know how many deer will fit under the topper but I am going to find out:D

I cant wait for this to turn into a American VS foreign thing

Nissan - okay. Mitsubishi - NOPE! C'mon, they built the WW II Japanese Zero fighter planes, for cryin' out loud.[:@] Well, I guess it's no different than if I had big bucks and drove a Mercedes, huh?:D:D
