Guys who've taken turkeys with your bows
#44
Mine was while I was deer hunting last fall. I saw them a week earlier, but didn't have a turkey tag. Came back the next weekend with a tag and they showed up again!

If you go deer hunting but also have a turkey tag are you still just deer hunting? I've shot 5 with my bow during deer season. In the spring it's 12 gauge time!

Turkey's are cheaper and don't smell or have feathers at the supermarket.... I hunt turkeys because I love to hunt turkeys.
I have no qualms at all with anyone who shoots them in the fall, espeically some folks who have dedicated turkey dogs (I think thats great and I've tagged along on a couple of hunts like that and its really neat). Just a personal pref thing for me, I'll save mine for the spring..

Yes.... just because I personally hunt turkeys because they gobble, and save three exceptions that come to mind they only gobble in the spring.
