White Raven,
I would be the first to admit that my eyes are not what they used to be, however I do not see any chew marks on the rack. If your are referring to the lighter colored spots below some of the tine tips as chew marks the lines (silhouette of the tines) would not be straight. When I first looked at it I wondered why the skull plate was cut crooked but as I examined it closer it appears to be a sticker point growing in a downward fashion. Also the skull plate color doesn't appear suspicious to me albeit the photo is not the best.
As far as the antlers being separated from the head...how else would you suggest they tan the cape?
It isn't that a person couldn't pass off a "found" animal as an actual harvest, we know it can and does occur in some found lacking in character. But it would be hard to pass off an animal that has been dead for a considerable length of time as a kill. With todays technology and sources I think it would be easier to pass off fake antlers as real.

This buck was taken VERY near my home last year on Nov. 15 2001 by Mr.Bryant. It was checked in at Wolf Hollow archery in Rome,IL. The coolest part of the story is that the buck was taken on a TURKEY hunt!!!! The buck was not in the spotlight because of an exwife thatthinks she should get some sort of share.... that B#%@$!!!!

We've been talking about it for 2 weeks on Iowadeer.com. IL_CORNFED got the story right as I know it.
KEEP IT LEGAL. KEEP IT SAFE. OR WE MAY NOT GET TO KEEP IT AT ALL.
