When you've been married nigh on 30 years, you learn a few tricks. Let me pass on some words of experience. STAY in trouble with the wife. That way when hunting season rolls around, you don't ever GET into trouble.[8D]

my wife's not to bad, her birthday is during wv rifle season, so growing up she never had any male family/friends at her party. so she understands.
Butshe'llgo rifle hunting with me once in a while.
Main thing is not to completly neglect family/home priorities.

When my wife and I got married she didnt understand at first why I was always gone during hunting season,but after she realized how much I could drive her crazy,she now says,I think the deer are moving,are u not going hunt'n or something?

It has been known to cause a riff or two in the past...
However, no matter how much a person likes hunting, the spouse should always win out if it is that big of a deal...as much as I hate to say it.
Fighting and divorce is no excuse to be out in the woods more.
