Friday afternoon heros!!
I see posted on this site alot of ya'll work in pro shops! I did my time years ago,best job only then money wasn't. But what got me was the guys that would come in the friday before season opened on sat or any day and buy a bow and arrows--want me to show them how to point the thing in the right direction--hit the target from 10 yds and be ready to climb a tree the next morning to hunt. I heard later of a lot of misses(thank god) but of only 2 wounded not recovered!! Any of ya'll run across this?

OMG Yes, you want to see the funniest thing in the world, go to your local Walmart/Gander/BassPro/Cabelas or shop the night/day before the season...sit and laugh and laugh but cry at the same time....Geessh.

LMAO!!! Yep, every week from now till season opens. What we get more of than that is this.....
Um, yeah. I just opened my bow case for the first time since last season, and I found it like this. They then point to their exploded bow, wanting us to fix it right then and there because after all, we only have 3 weeks till season opens......Yeah, right!! There are already 12 or 15 bows here to work on ahead of you. Then they get all mad because they need to leave it w/ us for repair. Folks don't understand things like that aren't as simple as 2 minutes....
Or, even better.......I need a dozen arrows, custom built of course. I don't want anything stock, no sir. WHAT?? I can't get those in the next hour?? What do you mean it will be at least a week??? I need them NOW, season opens in 3 weeks after all!
Or.....how bout this one. John Doe comes in to buy a bow, but the one he needs we will have to order. Which we are more than happy to do, but today is Saturday and we can't order it till first thing Monday morning. And even then it will be 3 or 4 weeks (sometimes longer) before we can get it in. Ok, that's fine they say. Then we get the phone call Monday afternoon...."Has my bow come in yet?" WHAT????? Dude, we just ordered it this morning!! "Yeah, and why isn't it there yet? Season opens in 3 weeks after all! And besides, why does it take so long to get one in?"
Well golly........Season opens in 3 weeks after all.....[&:]
