Less effort than walking, quieter, and faster.

Did you mount the buck to ride home ( just picture it ) holding on to his rack for handlebars .That would look sooo funny .

There are a number of State Wildlife Areas here in Colorao where they put a gate up, on a perfectly good road, and make you park and walk from there. For these areas, the mountain bike is perfect. I don't think I would want to try to haul a whole elk out on one - but maybe a quarter at a time . . . .

I use a bike during rifle season cause there is a road that runs right threw the area i hunt and i always see game along there. Even when there is a bit of snow i still ride the bike cause i find its alot more silent then walking threw the snow.

As for the buck on the bike thats awesome, never thought of that but i think the body size of the deer i shoot are a lil to big for my bike.

I have heard of guys who ride on top of the deer... My new idea for this year is to connect a deer cart to the back of my bike and bike it out... not sure if it will work?.. the spots where i hunt are 2 miles and 4 miles without any access from other directions... so biking is about the only option and it is a lot easier than walking.. its an old railroad bed and the tail is totally flat.. makes for a great ride.

I've seen where mt. bikes were INVALUABLE....in a state hunting area in Missouri....a guy rode a couple of miles back into the uncharted/untouched part of the land with his bike. It was untouched because it was so far back that nobody else would walk that far. A great idea if you ask me. Ride to your spot....ditch the bike 100 yards or so from your stand and walk in the rest of the way. great idea! good luck to you.
