2 tips.....

2 little tips for things that have either almost cost me.....or made me do strange things......
1. If you hunt with a facemask....and use a kisser button.....you need to be figuring out how you're gonna do both, right now. First deer I took last year....I thought I had practiced it....but it didn't feel right when the moment of truth came. I was at full draw.....pulling the mask down from my mouth. Worked out fine....but it could have easily went the other way.
2. If you shoot a fall away.....and you hunt with moleskin on the prongs.....it's time to add it now....and make sure you're still in tune with the added moleskin on there.
Just a heads up on things that have almost bitten me. Good luck.

The kisser button thing happened to me last year. Before, i used a face mask with the mouth part open and i had no problem shooting. Last year i bought a full face mask with no mouth opening. I didn't really think about it until i drew back on a nice buck and couldn't take the shot b/c ididn't feel my kisser button. This year i have been practicing with my facemask on so that won't happen again.

I hunt with a facemask and I anchor to my fletching. Yeah I know my form is a little off there 31" drawlength however I had to CHEW a hole in my facemask when I got out there because I couldnt anchor to anything.

Yeah, I hate not wearing a facemask. I had a new string put on my bow and they installed a kisser button too, needless to say it didnt last long on there. I just find myself feeling 'out of place' without a facemask on during bow season.

That's why I got rid of my kisser button. I anchor with fletchings tight to the face, and tip of the nose on the string. Seems to be working Ok. I do need to bust out the facemask and start practicing with it!

Germ - beat me too it I stopped using a face mask and utilize black face paint
Good tip for those using climbers especially with mesh wire bottom sections - put weight on the stand before you actually go hunting - if not it sounds like a bag of popcorn everytime you shift your feet- I quit using the wire mesh stands
