This might have been posted before but I'm not sure. I'm thinkin I need a new release. I have an old cobra from like 8 years ago and it doesn't really seem to be doing the job it used to. Just curious what all you guys use or could recommend shooting with a string loop

I'm in love with my TruGlo Copperhead but had I not bought it, I'd seriously consider the Scott Wildcat.

If you have been comfortable with your old release, I would stick with one very similar to it for this year. Now is not the time to be trying something new. If you want to switch to a back pressure release or make a big change, I would wait until next spring.

For years I shot the Scott little goose but last year I bought a Scott Wildcat and love it. I purchased it so I could get the trigger as far back to my 2nd knuckle as I possibly could, and witht he forward trigger on the Wildcat I can do that.

Check out Carter Releases. They have a variety of styles and their quality is unsurpassed. Their website is www.carterenterprises.com. I shoot an Ember 1 and my wife shoots a Quickie 2. The Ember is a thumb button release and the Quickie is a wrist stap, trigger.

I like some of the new ones that have the trigger moved up closer to the Jaws of the Release. Gives a Better anchoring point for me.

I shoot a T.R.U. Stinger and love it. I keep mine at factory length for now. They're adjustable so I may shorten mine eventually, but for now I like having that long release.

I'm shooting a Trufire Hurricane and it is not the top of the line release, but it works. I might go with a Scott two caliper release , but I'm still not sure which one.I like the looks of the Shark though.
