What do you DO?

Any time I hunt, play golf, boat... whatever, and I run into new people I'm always curious what they do for a living. And since Bow Hunters seem to be good salt of the earth kind of people... What do you do? And are there any issues with your chosen occupation that arise form your bow hunting addiction?

I’m a computer geek, so things are only a pain in the backsidewhen I have to carry a beeper into the woods!

RE: What do you DO?

I am a Groundskeeper for a very wealthy man who's house sits on his 25 acre private lake surrounded by woods. Not only to I have lawn care duties but I have duties to the wildlife in the area as well. Every year I'll plant clover, turnups,& corn for the deer. Also, we usually put out several mineral licks. For the last 4-5 years I've worked there, he's never let medeer hunt, butearlier this yearwhile doing a little bitof bass fishing on his lake, we saw a doe running along the dam,he metioned me taking a deer or two off there this year. So my job has great benefits....be outdoors and I see wildlife allday.....Deer, squirrels, rabbits, geese, ducks, snakes, even turkeys in the spring and fall.

I am a environmental/transportation planner, father, and husband(Not in that order). I work for a large engineering firm where I plan and help design highways, construct graphics, and compose environmental documents. But if I had my choice, I would hunt all season long and work the other months of the year, maybe.

Telephone Technician (Customer Service Tech) for a major telco company. I work from the cable into the homes and business's, key systems, networking, computer networking etc...

The only interfereince it brings me is a Saturday schedule. I usually work at least one Saturday during the archery season however it gives me a day off that week.

Other than that, it's helped me in my addiction by opening up new grounds from time to time.

Factory worker, I work at Blissfield Manufacturing currently. We make different things, but our big money is oil coolers for Cat, John Deer and Bobcat. We also make power steering coolers for GM and Ford. I make power steering couplings for DAYCO, who inturn supplies Ford.

I work next to a 2,000 degree braze furnace 10 hours a day. We work 4 10 hour days so I get three day weekends if we don't work overtime.
