How Much $?
I know the question of how much we spend on hunting has come up before (which I didn't reply to for fear "someone" might browse my posts and catch on to me).
I was interested in what you guys spend on licenses and other fees (i.e state/national forest stamp, public land permits, etc).
I just got my:
VA Resident (Big game, archery, muzzleloader, national forest $ 76
NC Non Resident (Non resident hunting, big game stamps)$140
Area Permits (two military bases) $25 x 2$50
That's $266 and I haven't got my VA bonus permits ($18) or my NC Wild Boar/Bear stamps ($120 yet). That will be another $138, plus the$266 for a grand total of $404, and I haven't left the house yet. Don't get me started on gas andChesapeake Bay Bridge TunnelTolls. Oh well you got to pay to play, I will stop whining now. Are other states just as expensive as far as Resident and Non resident stuff?

RE: How Much $?
Don't feel too bad. Just to get a single non resident elk tag in Colorado it is now over $500. If you alsowant to hunt a singlemuliethen there is another $300. And of course you want a single bear tag as plentiful as they are getting out there now for an aditional $251. So we are at about $1050 before you even get on the road.
And don't get me started about all the tolls getting out there and back and the price of gas. And then add on the guide fees and prices if you aren't going to DIY.
Quit Whining!!!!!!!!!

Here are my permit costs for this year:
CO Archery Elk: $46
CO Rifle Elk: $46
MO Non-Res Archery Deer: $150
MO Non-Res Rifle Deer: $175
$417 before I even step into the woods. Add gas and food and it is still a cheap way to spend spend some vacation time.
