The best part of hunting, Dare I say even better than the kill, is turning off the noise of my busy life and listing to God's surround sound.
X8 Nothing like the sound of the wind blowing through the trees,a flock of geese honking in the distance, acorns falling to the ground, squirrels scampering through the leaves. I thought it was a deer coming up behind me...darn squirrels [:@]

I don't listen to music, but I will occasionally play solitaire on my cell phone-which is always on silent when I hunt.

No music but I do complete Sudoku Puzzles and/or Word Finds while on stand.

Very little movement and I have a perfect pocket that it all slides into when deer approach.

It's either that or an afternoon nap.

A buddy of mine reads and another one plays video games on his cell phone. I've tried reading but I couldn't concentrate on what I was reading. I was too worried I would miss some activity in the woods.

The ipod generation is running amuck. Hunting is about listening tonature, not music. I want to hear as little man made sounds as I can when in the woods.

I hunt in the woods, so my hearing is usually my first sense that indicates an animal is approaching. I would never listen to music while on the stand.
