Default Ever get in a shooting groove?

My last 8 rounds at the indoor range have been:

208, 192, 201, 196, 195, 195, 200, 202 (first time ever putting back-to-back 200 rounds, together)

20 (ea)Targets range from 15 to 43 yds......with the current set-up (where these rounds were shot) having a full-strut turkey at 36yds and a standing jake at 43yds (with the 8 ring the size of most 10 rings.....and the 12 ring the size of a nickel).

I hope this transfers over to BH's. I'll be switching to full-time BHs next weekend.

Looks like some good shootin' there Jeff. I was in a groove for about a month, but that was a month ago! I shot a USBA event, and I was on fire, shooting 377 out of 400, by far the best I had ever shot. Just seemed like the arrows knew where they were going. The last three outdoor shoots have been terrible though for some reason. I really choked in the ASA state championship shoot after winning the qualifier during my hot streak. But, with hunting season closing in, I'm doing worrying about score, time for RWS (Real World Scenario) practice!

Awesome shooting! I on the other hand didn't shoot at all last week because I was on vacation with the family and when I shot last night I was not exactly en fuego[:'(]At fifty yards I was shooting about the size of a paper plate. The real problem was I was trying to sight in my fifty yard pin. I tried to blame it on a bent arrow, but I spin tested them and they were straight. Oh well, try again tonight.

Keep it up. Your braodheads will be just as good and you can be like MOGreg and pick which ventrical you want to hit on your monster buck this fall

I went out and shot last night as well. I lowered the DW on my bow earlier this summer when I was shooting 5-spot and only bothered to sight in my 20 yard pin. The 30, 40, 50, & 60 yard pins were all slightly low but I was able to keep them in a group the size of a softball out to 50 yards. I shot one at 30, 40 and 50 and two of them were almost touching and the third was about 1" below that.

I was surprised at how I was shooting last night. Like you once I have the rest of my pins sighted in I will be switching to broad heads and practicing once a week maybe two times for the rest of the season.
