I do believe the only time Fred used those poisen pods was on the Elephant. Heck for that matter so does tribes who live by the bow in africa even to this day!

Its humbling when all the old archery greats who have done more then some large groups will accomplish in a career speak the same thing. Yet all the equipment of today and todays "standards" have so blindsided peoples vision!

for the most part you are right on! I dont think even waisting the time to post here on such things is even worth it after page 3....just becomes a bickering match.

Fred Bear also did alot of hunting for critters that are much larger and meaner than a deer. In such circumstances maximum penetration may well be on top of the priority list lol.
