How many of you guys still wear belts?

I know most say the harness is the way to go, but i've found the belt to be more convient. I have mine tight enough that there is no way I can fall forward. Should I swithch to the harness? Thanks Bub

I still wear a belt and have no plan on switching. My stands have big platforms and I can't fall over with the belt. Its almost like wearing a leash for me. If I go to close it stops me from going over. If it is longer you can place it higher on the tree to shorten the length some.

It all depends on the stand Im hunting. If im hunting my ladder stand with a nice big platformI rarely ever wear my harness, I always wear my harness in my climber and one of my hang ons, but in my other hang onI just use a belt, im not sure what Im going to do when i get my buddy stand, im still looking for a harness for him..

The biggest reason that people are switching I believe isn't due to flipping over, but more on the lines of the belt being to restricting if you would happen to fall. The belt squeezes your chest tighter as you hang there. The harness supports most of your weight at your butt, keeping chest restiction down.

Get a harness. Fewer and fewer guys wear belts each year, due to two reasons. Either enlightenment or attrition.

I agree with the others on the harness. If you do fall, the harness keeps you upright, won't restrict your breathing and is easier to recover and get back into your stand. I threw my fathers belts away last season and forced him to wear a harness for safety.

It may not be as safe, but I do wear a belt. Occasionally the harness. But I hate being tied to the tree behind my neck!! You cant turn around backwards and shoot a bow w/o the strap being in the way. This cost me a deer once!!!! Besides my climber has a rail around it.
I also put the belt so the leash is snug when im sitting so if i were to fall I wont go anywhere.
