in WV i can take 3 deer during bow season. I hunt with bow during rifle as well, and I'm up to 32 deer in 11 years.

I can’t say that I have been keeping count.

I'm at 10 deer after pursuing them off an on since 1966.Kinda picky - don't like to shoot does . . . or lessthan maturebucks for that matter.For elk, though, I killed my 34th this year .

Ive been hunting for 28 years now and have shot 30 with my bow...

If we are counting does, then this past season I shot my tenth deer in seven full seasons of hunting.6 of which have been bucks. I didn't practice great management until about three years ago when I promised myself to take at least one doe per buck. Last year I blanked on does for some reason I couldn't connect. Two shots on does and two misses. I guess better miss on the does than the buck I connected on. In my defense (excuses) I hit a branch on one and was attempting at using traditional gear on the second. I have great respect for traditional archers these days.

I'd say once I broke the code. 3 seasons for 10 and I guess 2 more after that till I killed 20... I was averaging around 5-9 deer a year just with the bow then add another 1 or 2 with the rifle then another 1 or 2 with the muzzle loader... Some years I've killed 9 or 10 deer in a season... Most of these being does...

This will be my 26th season after starting at age 15. I took my first deer with a bow at age 23 so in the last 17 seasons I've taken roughly 25 deer with my bow. Not large numbers but I'm betting I can remeber every single one of them.
