I doubt this sort of instability could be overcome by fletching with feathers.
The center of the Blazers barely moved in any direction more than inch during the whole flight. It was the front that was swinging back and forth from getting caught in the wind. I think the Blazers actually did a great job stabilizing the broadheads enough to impact straight but to the left of the target for how much they were moving.
Plus, I've wanted to try the Wac'ems since I saw and read about them.

Wouldn't it have been a lot less expensive to refletch with something to give a little more steerage?

I talked to the man again; he is going to have to double check the weight of the shafts. Not sure about it. He recently switched over to the full metal jacket carbon shafts.

I agree with this.. I , personally, had to go through several different types of fletching, quick spin 4" 2" and then feathers .. Finally leveled out, spun perfect wind or not.

Did you try Blazers? In addition, how much did you spend on the quickspins and feathers for testing? If you had to buy a box of Quickspins in both 4" and 2" plus the feathers, or paid for someone to do it,you spent more than or close to the cost of the Wac'ems.
In addition, throw in the time you spent refleching and shooting. To me, it seems more economical and much faster to just correct the issue with a proven method.
Arthur,
I'm sure you are not going to agree or find fault in pretty much anything I have to say. Therefore, I'm not even sure why I'm going through the trouble to justify my actions. But here goes.
I just bought the bow in February and this was the first real test under high wind conditions. Before this it had been under fairly calm conditions under an almost controlled environment.
If you ask MDBUCKHUNTER I have told him on more than 1 occasion that my heads flew great and there was no reason to change. I even posted in another thread that my heads flew great so why go to a stubby broadhead. I changed that statement after the incident that we're discussing.
I've spent a ton of money this year on my new equipment and really didn't want to spend more unlessI really had to and still need to buy a quiver.

My buddy's same bow with much lighter arrows and a higher draw weight only came up at 284 and he's had guys on Matthews forums telling him that is high. his arrow weighs just over 350 grains.

If you are sharing things it still costs you money at some point and the time. Also, your set-up isn't mine. I've read of too many people having problems with thefull sized heads at higher speeds. Why do you think Muyzzy developed the shorter one in the first place? Because there was an issue that needed to be addressed
If it works for your father with the old heads I'm glad for him. Good Luck this fall. And, that dog is adorable.

I was at 284fps with a 70lb SBXT, 29" draw, GT 5575 Pro Hunter Black w/ 100gr. tips....and I had 2 speed nocks on a fully tuned bow.
I recommend using the program AFTER you chronograph. Don't just quote numbers. Let us know how you do then. I would be very curious to see the change.
Oh yeah...Dave didn't want to buy new broadheads.

Thanks Dave, she 's my littlest angel.. I get jokes about her, all the time, from fox and coyote guys.. they want to use her as bait.
I talked to my other half last night about his bow, previous and new. I am waiting for him to call me this am with all the correct info from his old Martin bow so I can recalculate the numbers.
