Default SCENT CONTROL

WELL THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER HAVE FINALLY HIT NORTHERN MAINE. I WAS WONDERING WHAT OR HOW DO YOU KEEP THE HUMAN SCENT OFF YOUR RELEASE? SHOT SOME TONITE AND NOTICED THAT THE FELT MATERIAL WAS SOAKING WET FROM SWEAT. MAY SOUND FOOLISH BUT GONNA BE HUNTING A BIG DROP-TINE AND I WANT TO GET IT RITE THE FIRST TIME AROUND,IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN..

I usually spray mine with scent killer before I go hunting along with everything else.

You could wash it with your hunting clothes the nite before. Never done it before but Id say wash on cold so it dosent shrink or melt any plastic. Good luck on the droptine!

I haven't washed mine but I do spray it down real good with scent neutralizer before I put it on.

Happy Hunting

Just give it a spray down with scent killer, like already suggested and you should be fine. In my opinion, I would not worry about washing it. Your pie hole is going to be giving off scent anyways.

I sent it through the washing machine with the other hunting clothes and let it air dry. The water had not effect on the metal parts. I would think that the company building the release would expect it to get wet on occasion due to rain etc.
