Your best bet is to worry less about them, they have a right to harvest any deer they have legal tag for.
Just because someone CAN do something, doesn't make it a good idea...

Good luck Beagle, its a tough road but well worth it.

Last gun season 2 people shot bucks that were not upt to the standards I set So I kicked them out. I shut down the property to everybody but my dad and I. It's hard to make people think the way you think. I have shot nice bucks the last couple years but people still shoot the first buck they see. So know I made the rule you shoot it you mount it. That should make people think twice about squeezing the trigger. $300 for the mount should detour some of these guy's. The other thing I am doing is finding better people to hunt with.

Actually the land I hunt is family property owned by my grandpa and also my uncle. There are roughly 15 hunters all together, and some of the more serious ones are with me, but convincing the bullheaded ones is difficult. I try explaining that if they want meat, there are soooo many does it is unbelievable. Hopefully as some of these ppl become a little more experienced and serious there ideas will change. Thanks guys for the input

Beagle

You will never change a persons mind with words. Start shooting big deer and watch them changed their mindest(because it ain't about the antlers)

My Dad and now even an Uncle are holding out this year. My Dadis talking about a spread rulethis year Big deer have effect on folks, you can not eat them, but they sure do drive hunters nuts

I was going to ask about the doe population and if they have the opportunity to harvest them to fill the freezer. Ifthey can then that's one thing you have going for you in trying towin some of them over. "Hey guys, you're getting good quality meat with the does, so why can't you wait for some quality racks?"

If it's that important to you, pony up the cash to buy the land from your grampa and uncle and set your own rules.

How many acres is your land? Are they really hurting your herd that much?

That statement actually makes me a bit sad. That is so not what hunting is about to me. Even if I shot the biggest deer in MI I probably wouldn't have it mounted or enter it in the books.

Just my opinion anyway, and your welcome to yours as well.
