How much KE are you shooting
#32
It did go 274 with a 402gr. 28" arrow with a bare string, and I went with a peep, string loop, 27" arrows with 378 gr. and that was with the same poundage..
And a ballpark guess on the FPS is what I was looking for also. Thanks Guy's

You guys realize that some of you shoot more KE than my old crossbow did (77lbs). I'm just hoping to be close to 40lbs KE with my new setup: Bowtech Equalizer set at 50lbs, 25" drawlength with axis arrows weighing between 365-390 grains total. I'll know in about 2 weeks

Just curious - how many of you are reporting actual chronographed velocity, not calculated fps from a chart?

Last I checked I was getting around 70 ft. lbs. of energy. I've played around with my arrow weight, but it should be right around the same. Plenty for flinging sticks at deer.

Is there a chart that estimates arrow velocity from certain bows? I have not chrono'd mine but I am shooting a 395gr arrow with a 30" draw at 67#'s from my vipertec.
Can anyone lead me to an estimator?

I can not remember but I think it was 305 or 310. I could be wrong though as I was looking at multiple bows when I purchased it and may have some of the ratings confused.
