Default What is the rule on using a landowners permit?

My girlfriend's dad has 200+ acres in effingham, IL and he asked me the other day if I would want to hunt it. I said I would definitely be interested being that the property hasnt been hunted in years, but I told him I didnt want to spend $375 to go a few times. He said I could use one of his land owner permits. What is the rule on this. If it is legal I would be up for it, if not do they sell a 3 day permit or anything like that?

You best check out Illinois's DNR website.......You don't even live in the state, I just don't think you could use someone ELSE's tag......Yer gonna have to buy a tag, of that I am most confident....

I know in MO you can't give landowner tags to anyone else......

Lol. No I'm only 21 and still in school, but after I graduate and get a job then I'll think about it. But I'll be honest 200 acres in IL makes me love her more.

Not positive but I think you need the regular non-res tag before you can buy those doe permits.

NO GO ON THE LANDOWNERS PERMITS!! UNLESS YOU WANT THE CONS. POLICE KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR.
