What chance would I have at that buck with you hunting the area, seriously?? None, that's how much...none at all.Actually, if I owned the ground you would be welcome in a SECOND, but unfortunately I don't own it.....[&o]

That'll get your pump primed!
To answer your question, in a lot of areas bucks have about 4....maybe 5 weeks of growing time left. The antlers take about 3 weeks to harden and then the velvet comes off.
From what you describe on the length of tines, numberof tines, the drop and the mass......I would say you are quite low as to what he would score. I killed a 9pt last year that had ok mass, 11" g2, 19 3/8" wide and scored 153 2/8". Sounds like this bad boy is bigger.

Anyway, I gave thanks to God for even allowing me to see that beauty, and had a strange sensation come over me......I've never felt it before, I absolutely KNOW I'm gonna kill that buck. I don't mean that to sound arrogant at all, but have ya'll ever had that about something, anything? Not just about a kill, but anything? You just........KNOW it's gonna happen? Kinda weird I know.........Man, I don't think I'm gonna sleep tonight, I'm all kinds of fired up now! Wish I had a pic of him to show, but he didn't step in front of my camera.

.That's exciting stuff in that paragraph right there, mobo. I hope to hear you tell me I was right, in a few months (about it being your year). You'llnow (as gary told me) ALWAYS look at deer as "mature bucks" and "deer". I'll be "deer" hunting , this year.....but I'll be rooting for you.
