These are a couple of deer we harvested in IL. One was shot on Oct 5 and the other was shot on Nov 5 only 20 yards apart. We were on our way to te taxidermy shop with the one on the left and decided to go hunting. My buddy on the right shot his first P&Y buck that night sure glad we went. The one on the left weighed 230lbs and the one on the right weighed 200lbs field dressed. He shot his first deer with me and his biggest one. I hope the pic opens

These deer were taken off a fence row bordering the Kankakee River State Park. It is a very productive area we took 9 deer off it last year and 7 this year and we still have 2 weeks left to hunt. The deer on the left I shot off the ground. It is the fourth P&Y I have taken off that fence row. There is a Christmas tree farm right next to the land so from Thanksgiving til Christmas the deer don't come out until after dark . I put trail timers out so I can tell when to hunt.

Congratulations on two fine animals. I am thinking about getting next year's Christmas tree in Illinois. What is the name of the tree farm?<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
