The hobbie thing is my wife made up that name for me. But she dosent think it is a hobbie anymore. She thinks I am obsessed with bow hunting well she is right. The job I have I only work 14 days a month and I get to hunt alot. When I am on nights I hunt before I go to work and somedays after I get off in the morning only miss 25 days a season because of day shift. I take two trips a year one to northern WI. in Sept. And one to southern IL. in Nov.
The story on the deer well it rained all day but I built a ground blind out of plywood two months before season and put a roof on it
painted it and covered it with brush. The deer cannot see in the blind when you only open one window it is a great place to hunt when the weather is foul. About 40 min. before quiting time the rain stoped and the sun came out 5 min. later the deer appeared 15 yards in front of me. Well I did'nt get the shot then he walked passed my blind and I got up to open the back door and he heard me and I lost him for a couple is seconds and he swung around to the front of the blind about 30 yards away broadside I pulled back and shot. The deer was alert so he spun before the arrow got there. But he spun the right way the arrow went in right behind the ribs and hit the liver and angled foward. I didnt know if it was a good hit so I waited 3hours before going back. He only went 50 yards. Some people laugh at the ground blind I built but it works great the deer look but never see you. I do not was sentlok I just play the wind and hunt hard.
