Default New string ?

Well i just put a new string on my bow and got it all sighted it. Ive shot about 200 shot out of it and now all of my arrows are hitting3-4 inches right. Ive heard that a new string will stretch and stuff, could this be what is causing this?? Also im getting it re-tuned this weekend with the new string so that should help.

Well, the brand/type of material used to make the string is going to be a determining factor on just how much your string stretched.

I don't know for sure, but I would think that your string stretching would more affect your vertical misses as opposed to your horizontal.

does streching effect left and right accuracy? I can tell you that if your string streches (not cables) that you are pulling more and shooting faster. If your cables strech and not your string your pulling less and shooting slower. That is the reason it is good to have the same material for the cables and string (they kind of stretch together). As far as your left to right shooting I would bet that something else has changed.

have you shot your bow through paper? I would guess that your getting a tear. Maybe your knock point has changed during the stretching and now your arrow isn't flying right. Good luck
