Fine and dandy. I've done my best. It's your business if you want to believe me or not. I said it before and I'll say it again. Good luck... and be sure to keep your first aid kit well supplied.

I figure at the range I feel is responsible for me is 20yds, maybe 30 and I don't need a few extra fps. My hat is off to those of you who can shoot 50yds as well as you can 20 yds. Even the fastest arrow leaves open the possibility of string jump ect. Just make sure you can hit the 50 yd target everytime, not just one out of five.

As far as broadheads go I only shoot them at game once. Why risk shooting them more. I don't try and recycle a 3 inch copper solid at $4.00 buck a pop so why worry about shelving a 10 dollar broadhead.
Double bandedRocket Steelheads havenever failed fo me....

I had a thought,

I was wondering how well those Wolverine blades would be if they are traveling in the 350 fps range and they hit a deer.

I mean would the blades shear off?

I've broken many blades shooting those Miniblasters through deer with that old Proline. Those arrows were probably only traveling in the 240 fps range.

I read somewhere that Rocket designed those blades to bend and break as not to impede penetration. If they hit bone or something they would shear a blade or two and keep traveling.

350 fps is really cooking. I'm not sure how well those blades will hold up at that speed. The Jak-Hammer is a bit heavier but I feel it is much sturdier.

Just something for you to think about.
