I have seen this technique used before.

The second archer in our group nocked a second arrow, aimed at his spot where he shot the buck, let the arrow fly. The arrow hit a twig, then a rock and I think landed somewhere in the next county. To this day people still say they have seen that arrow flying through the air.

That is a good idea, My luminock bailed me out last season, just look for the light.
